Not all their material is incredible, but the first time I heard certain songs, I felt I was listening to something new and different and it stuck in my head and I wanted to have their whole discographies and select the best songs and make a mix tape / playlist, the words stuck, I knew each note of every guitar solo...
Nowadays nothing new I listen to gives me that feeling. I may like the music, and add it to a Spotify playlist, or tolerate it if its being played by someone else, but it's never "incredible" in my mind any more.
Is originality in the music itself not what it used to? Am I just older and less impressionable?
