[Discussion] MAVI - Let the Sun Talk (One Year Anniversary)
Got this quote from Rap Genius:
“Let the Sun Talk is the debut album from Charlotte rapper MAVI. Released on his 20th birthday, the album was made available for download on his website on October 7, 2019, and went on to receive a wide release on the 15th.
Stylistically, MAVI fits within the current Abstract Hip-Hop renaissance going on in the underground. He writes dense, esoteric verses about Black solidarity, depression and emotional trauma, over glitchy, yet delicate soul beats that give the project a smudgy, lo-fi feel.”
It’s been a year since it came out, was wondering people’s thoughts and experiences.
