What is y'all's opinion of Kendrick Lamar's DAMN?
I think DAMN is an ok album but compared to Good Kid MAAD City, To Pimp a Butterfly, and even Section 80 it definitely falls short. Not only does it lack the obvious jazz and soul influences included in his other albums, i don't think his lyricism is as good in DAMN. Additionally, some of the songs (like LOVE and LOYALTY) sound too much like pop music in my opinion. (and this is coming from a huge Kendrick fan) On the other hand, i know alot of people really like this DAMN and there are some decent songs on this album. Let me know yalls opinions about DAMN below.
